There’s something magical about this time of year in Sweden’s Österlen — when the canola fields explode in a sea of brilliant yellow, some even stretching all the way to the Baltic Sea. It’s a color so intense, so joyful, it almost hums. I’ve always loved this golden season — the contrast between the endless blue above, the shimmering sea beyond – together reminding me of the Swedish flag – and the vibrant blossoms swaying in the breeze. A visual feast. A painter’s and a landscape photographer’s dream.
