Charlotte and I are celebrating today, October 26 is the 30th anniversary of the night we met at Cyrano, a restaurant and bar in Gothenburg, Sweden.

It was our friend Peter Svedberg, a colleague of Charlotte’s in the airline industry, who introduced us. Maria Fossen, Lars-Vidar Fossen, and our old friend Lars Olemyr were there too. Lars would go on to be the brilliant master of ceremonies at our wedding two years later. They were all there that magical autumn evening 1996 when Charlotte and I exchanged our very first glances and words.

Charlotte was about to visit Bali for the first time. I’d already been there a couple of times and offered to send her a few tips. So we exchanged email addresses, which was quite unusual at the time. Charlotte had charlotte.wall@maviation.se, and I had burp@goteborg.mail.telia.com. Many, many emails later, we’re still madly in love and the best of buddies and continue making our way through life side by side, through thick and thin. Kanpai! ❤️❤️🍱👫
