During my recent trip to Santa Monica, I revisited Tongva Park to film Blake – a friend I’d met roughly a year earlier. Blake works in the film industry as a software engineer and is passionate about building and riding bikes designed specifically for what it my eyes seems to be gravity defying trickery. He’s a few years older than I am, which in itself is inspiring. I compiled the above footage over the course of an hour or so – most of which was shot on a Gopro and iPhone 5. Today, I spent several hours filming a whole bunch of Danish bikes, so-called “Köpenhamnscyklar” – a modern take on the east Asian rickshaw – around Malmö. That film should premiere sometime next week….
